Dr Miller presented at the 5th international BIN@ (Business Innovation Network) conference on 11th November 2014, Sheffield, UK.  Dr Miller gave an overview of the IMCOSS project to an international audience in the "Biomaterials, Medical Devices and Tissue Regeneration" session.

Dr Goodchild Presents....

Dr Goodchild presented "Orthopaedic Products based on Biomimetic Calcium Phosphate Nano technology" at the MeDe Innovation - The EPSRC Centre for Innovative manufacturing in Medical Devices and Tissue Technologies held in Sheffield, UK on 18th September 2014.

Project Promotional Stand - Dubrovnik, Croatia

IMCOSS exhibited at the 7th International Association for Dental Research Pan-European Region meeting (IADR/PEF) in Dubrovnik on the 10th - 13th September 2014.   The stand and two scientific presentations promoted the data and results of the project to the scientific and clinical community.

Fourth Progress Meeting - Sheffield, UK

On 26th June 2014 the project partners met in Sheffield for the 4th progress meeting. 

Third Progress Meeting - Gland, Switzerland

 January 2014 saw the project partners meet in Switzerland for the 3rd progress meeting.   

Clinical Workshop - LBI, Vienna

The second IMCOSS clinical workshop took place in Vienna on the 28th November 2013.

All three SME's were present for the trial of the optimised material and delivery device. Orthopaedic and dental surgeons provided valuable feedback and advised the IMCOSS team on potential advancements to the basic and optimised materials.The overall feedback was promising and the IMCOSS consortium will now investigate advanced materials to address the surgical needs and potentially improve biological function.

Dr Miller Presents.... 

Dr Cheryl Miller presented on the IMCOSS project (Injectable Medical Ceramics for Bone Repair and Augmentation) in the European Commission Forum at the MiMe-Materials in Medicine Conference in Faenza, October 8-11, 2013. The Forum, assessed the current status of the innovative approaches and technologies in Regenerative Medicine, in the field of bone and cartilage regeneration, and on how the synergy among the different EU funding themes (NMP, Health) are providing great benefits for translational medicine.

Dr Goodchild Presents....
Dr Rebecca Goodchild, Research Manager at Ceramisys Ltd, presented at The University of Sheffield “Medical Devices and Health Technologies Industry Open Day”, Friday 14th June 2013. 
Dr Goodchild’s talk addressed how the Universities can act as “Virtual R&D Labs” for SMEs. She used the IMCOSS project as an example of this by describing how this project is assisting Ceramisys in increasing their research efforts and allowing them to acquire technological know-how which will in turn strengthen their innovation capacity and contribute to the development of new technology.

Clinical Workshop - LBI, Vienna

The first IMCOSS clinical workshop took place in Vienna on the 27th June 2013.

The SME's were able to obtain valuable feedback, from both orthopaedic and dental surgeons, on the basic bone graft material and the trial delivery device.

The overall feedback was good and the IMCOSS consortium will now begin to optimise the material and device in order to meet the surgical requirements.

First Quarterly Meeting - Porto, Portugal

The first quarterly meeting was held on the 25th June 2013 at Fluidinova, Porto, Portugal.  

Sheffield Start-up Meeting

The start-up meeting for the IMCOSS project was held on the 22nd January 2013 in Sheffield, ‚ÄčUK.
